I enjoyed the taste and feel of San Francisco which was most of the story. The characters were great and the way Aunt Ruth screwed up gay terms was priceless. There really wasn't much of a murder mystery though. (

When Tim Snow's Aunt Ruth comes to stay for a few weeks, he promises her a drive in his ex's T-Bird, only to find when they go to his house that he has been murdered. Soon corpses are popping up all over the place.

The addition of Aunt Ruth is a great improvement to this series as a way in for those of us who don't live in San Francisco. It was enough of a fun read to carry me on to the next in the series. (

Good characters and well written - a murder mystery in the background rather than the focus of the book - the characters are the focus and though most everything worked I found it a bit disconnected when dealing with the death of the main characters ex-lover. But still a strong story, entertaining and well worth more in the series - makes me want to vacation in San Francisco! (
