EL PITAGORISMO
Con ser tan grandes, tan hermosos, tan completos
los trabajos, ya clásicos, sobre Pitágoras,
de Roeth (1), de Krische (2), de Chaignet (3), de
Beck (4), de Ritter (5); en fin, los mismos del
meritísimo Caporali (6), el más feliz de todos los
expositores del pitagorismo, ninguna obra sobre
Pitágoras ha alcanzado más éxito, ni ha popularizado
más la doctrina del filósofo de Samos, que
ésta de Amadeo Dacier, no seguramen'e la mejor
de todas ellas, pero sí la más entusiasta e
ingenua de cuantas han podido escribirse hasta
la fecha.
Dacier, antcrior a todos ellos -1657-1722, dispuso,
por lo demás, de muy pocos documentos
para llevar a cabo su obra, y no hizo más que
recoger todas las fábulas que en torno de...
