I liked the characters in this story, as they seemed very real. I enjoyed the story line and look forward to reading the other two books in this series. Develyn Worrell is a 5th grade teacher in Indiana, who decides to take a vacation during her summer break, and heads to a town down a dirt road in Wyoming that she once visited as a child and had wonderful memories of that place. There she will remember her past, enjoy her present and begin to wonder about her future. While there she will discover a "quirky" new girlfriend (who I personally got a real kick out of) and three men who are showing a real interest in her. She will also acquire a horse and will spend many hours enjoying the peace that comes from being in the middle of nowhere.

This story is full of adventure and interesting characters. 'Dev' is a woman who has lost a husband through divorce and then death, has a daughter who is angry at how the family was broken apart, and who is wanting to experience something more to her life than just teaching. I enjoyed getting to know her and will see how she continues to grow in the next two books in this series. ( )

this is a really good book, i would recommend it to anyone that enjoys reading. it refers to Jesus and Christianity a little bit, because it is written by a Lutheran Pastor, but it is just an amazing book! ( )
