I found that I took longer to read "Company Mole" then I did "Teen Valour", it seemed to have a lot more intricate detail and undercover elements, but I'm glad I stuck with it and gave it the time needed to read, as the slow parts meant that the fast paced last 10 chapters stayed fast paced and understandable.

In this book Adam tries to take down a drug gang and the book focuses on the effects of his actions, both in this book and from his heroic actions in "Teen Valour". It shows how the public and police have changed their opinion of him and now have a special interest in him. We see how he deals with this and how trying to take down a drug gang affects him and his personal safety.

Adair once again has added humour to the serious situations in the book and some of the one liners had me laughing out loud. I also had to wonder if the lawyer being named "Weizman" was a joke or something that was unintended. Either way it made me chuckle.

I wouldn't recommend it as a book to read if the reader hasn't read "Teen Valour", as there are too many references to it for it to make sense, but for anyone who read and enjoyed "Teen Valour" I'd say it's a must read! ( )

Company Mole is the second book in the Adam Cranford series. In this book Adam takes on drug dealers, when his family and friends become involved you start to see more of the ruthlessness that was glimpsed in the first book. I am sure that some of the things that Adam plans then carries out are not exactly appropriate for teens, it seems he somewhat borders on the psychotic in his calmness, but I absolutely loved it. I was rather surprised by the ending, it did not seem finished to me, I expected more closure but that could be coming in the next book. I would recommend this book for adults, I can not in all honesty recommend it for teens, at least not my teens. ( )

Adam began to suspect this Monday was going to be very different from other Mondays.
The simple text message on his mobile phone from his father still puzzled Adam: ‘Come by the cottage on your way home. I have a surprise for you. Dad’
Adam trotted down the cottage stairs, pulling on his school blazer as he
descended. He had left plenty of time for breakfast, and there were no last
minute homework panics. He was surprised to see his normally cheerful mother
bearing such a bizarre worried look on her face. He was even more surprised to see
Detective Inspector Norris sitting at the table drinking a cup of tea.
“Adam, take a seat and have some breakfast. DI Norris has got some bad news.”
“Adam, I am sorry about this, but I have come to arrest you for burglary and also
for assaulting a police officer in the course of his duty
