"Ubiquitous" is a collection of poetry written about different creatures found on earth. The book follows the timeline of which organisms developed first, starting with bacteria and ending with humans. Each poem is accompanied by a page of information about the organism, and vibrant illustrations are on every page. I found each poem very enjoyable, as well as the information about the different organisms. I especially loved the illustrations, as they're fairly realistic, but they're also extremely colorful and unique. There's also a glossary in the back of the book explaining several terms that the reader may have trouble with. My favorite part of the book is the endpapers, with are timelines of the Earth's development. They're extremely stylized and unique in their presentation, and they caught my eye when we read this book in class. The concepts of evolution and the development of planets are explored, as well as general facts about different animals. I think kids, as well as adults, would learn quite a bit from this book while being entertained and enthralled at the same time. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
