This book is about Flanimals and all the different kinds there are in the Flanimal kindgom. It goes through all the species and shows you how some evolved or, what they eat. It also talks about where they live and things on their bodies, like wings or a hard shell. Honestly i didn't really like this book and wouldn't buy it. I think it's supposed to be funny but it just seemed mean to me. The author calls these creatures useless, dumb, and ugly. I think this would be a cute book without the authors opinions on how pointless these Flanimals are, if they're so pointless..why'd the write a whole book about them? I like that the book is interactive, but that's pretty much it. This book is a popular pop up book, it has interactive tabs and various things for young children to touch and feel. It is a book about various different animals that are some what inadequate to regular life lessons. I think it is very important to have interactive materials in your classroom for those students who are visual learners and need to touch the material to learn better. So what is a Flanimal? The grotesque creatures that are part of the unknown world. And perhaps it's better that way because these creatures are ugly. Written as a field guy for the unknown, this pop-up edition is nothing but page-after-page of fun. So much so, you might want to keep this one for yourself. Read it while the kids go to bed. Go ahead, have fun. ( )
