Have you ever read a novel and had an increasing desire to know more about a character? Let me get inside this person's head because they are clearly hiding a thing or two! That's what I feel by the end of Exquisite Corpse. Two flawed characters coming together and one of them walking away with the golden nugget. So the main character, Zoe, stumbles upon a startling secret about the new man in her life. And if you are an avid reader, it's one you've had some doubts about one way or the other. Definitely interesting what she chose to do with her information. With a little help... Whoa...I don't even know what to think about all that. On one hand, I kind of loved it because it was so ridiculous, but on the other, IT WAS SO RIDICULOUS. Like, you think someone's going to come out of this not being a horrible person, but they're really all kind of horrible people. And I would totally read more of that. Also, I really liked the artwork! keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

"Zoe isn't the intellectual type, which is why she doesn't recognize world-famous author Thomas Rocher when she stumbles into his apartment...and into his life. It's also why she doesn't know that Rocher is supposed to be dead. Rocher faked his death years ago to escape his critics, and has been making a killing releasing his new work as "lost manuscripts," in cahoots with his editor/ex-wife Agathe. Zoe doesn't know Balzac from Batman, but she's going to have to wise up fast... because she's sitting on the literary scandal of the century!"-- Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

The plot was a bit loose and jumped around quite a bit, but this was a quick and cute read. I really enjoyed the artwork for this story- I thought the Parisian charm was captured and the characters were simple but not overly cartoonish.
The story didn't go how I expected, but not fully in a bad way. I got a big laugh out of that ending though (even though it was pretty cheesy!) ( )
