I love this book! The characters draw you in, the heroine is both courageous and tenacious, and the romance is sweet. I have re-read this several times since I was a teenager, and am going to try to locate another copy-mine was lost in a flood, along with most of my paperback library. It would be great if there was an e-book format, but so far I have been unable to locate one. I would recommend this read, as well as several others by this author that I have read, such as "Child of Faerie, Child of Earth," and "WindLeaf," -shorter tales, but still very enjoyable. ( )

The is one of my all-time favourite books, in combines a fairy-tale element with myth and legend, add to that romance, proving ones's love and jealousy and you have an engaging story to take away your troubles and escape... ( )

A fun Russian fantasy romp that captures the spirit of some Russian fairy tales. Magic, shapeshifting, love twarted and a beauty and the beast storyline weaves through this to provide a really great read. ( )
