Rick Ainsworth

Good fiction, having also served as a Signalman 3/C in the USN I enjoyed the book. I never thought I would find a book where the main character was a Navy Signalman 3/C. The parallels were amazing: we both learned Morse Code as Radioman, we both became shell-backs, we both transferred to the Signal Bridge, both visited Subic, and Yokosuka, and both complemented on our Morse Code Skill.
Several events which I did not share (Brig time, Adultry etc.) did not overly deminish my enjoying the story.… (mehr)
