One thousand pages of bad jokes, weak puns, and silly "plots" yet these little comics continue to be a pop phenomenon. Maybe it's the innocent naïveté or the bright primary colours or perhaps it's the fact that even as the technology around them changes (they have computers!) the gang just never grows old.

It's surprising that this ancient comic strip is still being published, 80 years after its debut. This particular collection is of comics first published in the early 1990s, and was reprinted in 2019. The cover reflects a traditional theme: as an ordinary goofy teenage male, Archie has two gorgeous teenage "girls" (Betty and Veronica) passionately interested in him, though in a G-rated manner. That the females are built like supermodels (with spectacular, Barbie- doll proportions) may not have occurred to readers in the 1950s and '60s, but it's hard to believe that modern readers don't notice. At least the storylines in this collection extend beyond the boy- girl stuff of the comic's distant forerunners.

Despite a lifetime appreciation of comic strips, I experienced no enjoyment from this collection. I found the story lines juvenile, contrived, trivial, boring, and dumb.

I love Archie comics. They are nice, cute, and funny.

Loved it! Classic Betty and Veronica.

I'm not sure but I feel like that this 85th digest is jam-packed with a lot of great stories of Jughead and friends. I also love the Little Jughead stories and the one-page stories in this volume. I typed all the title of the stories below and my corresponding rating per story.

I love almost all the stories in this digest. And what I love in this volume is that there are a lot of stories which included Jughead's dog Hotdog.

Some stories compiled in this double digest are okay yet some are not really that funny. Nonetheless, I still gave this issue a 5 star rating because of the stories I like, which I put in the list below:

Just like other digests that Archie Comics has published, there are some stories also in this issue that I've already read in other digest. In spite of that, it didn't lessen the amount of happiness that these stories give to the readers.

This 2nd Double Digest of Jughead and Archie Comics is much better than the first one. I like nearly all the stories they put in this issue and I list them below with a * to mark my faves:

If you're a fan of Archie Comics especially Jughead, you will definitely enjoy reading this double digest just like I did. These digests are always packed with bone tickler stories that any readers will love. Almost all the stories included in this particular digest are great. So if you're having a bad time or stressed, I highly recommend that you read these digests of Jughead.

There are 3 stories in this digest that I've already read in other published comic issues of Jughead; and those stories are Babes in the Woods, Dog Tired, and The Cream of the Crop.

Overall, I like this issue because almost all of the stories they have included here are really hilarious. My favorites would definitely be The House Warming, and Baby's Best Friend; especially the latter because it shows that a dog(s), Hotdog in particular, is truly a man's best friend.

There are 3 stories in this digest; and the first and last story are the best especially the first one.

This single digest is entirely about Archie and how he enjoy his summer break. There are four short stories inside that every comic reader will enjoy.

There are four stories in this digest and I only enjoyed the last 2 especially the "The Fame Game!"

The stories Record Breaker and Archie in Lunch Pale are the best stories in digest. Archie in Canoe Help Us is funny also but I can't say the same for the 3rd story which is Archie in Friendly Fire.

We can learn more about Cheryl in this Special especially the part where she even had a love interest way back before Pembrooke Academy who's beyond her league. Well, I thought that maybe Cheryl is really in-love with that weirdo but it turns out that she was being manipulated after all.

'You Never Listen' is my favorite story in this issue but I did enjoyed reading the other 3 stories also.

I enjoyed reading all 3 stories in this issue particularly the first one which is the 'Phone-y Problem.'

Aside from Cherly Blossom and Hotdog, Jughead is my another favorite character in Archie Comics. These magazine & comics digests of him are a great collectible for fans, like me, of Jughead.

If you are a fan of Archie Comics, these digest magazines are a must-read because they are packed with a lot funny stories that you will enjoy reading for the rest of the day.
