The Last Verdict von Jamie Arpin-Ricci
This is a short novella about an execution. There are two narrators. Part one is narrated by the victim's mother, hungry for justice for the life that was stolen from here. Part II is narrated by the mother of the accused and condemned man who faces lethal injection.

This is a quick read and gets at some of the issues surrounding the death penalty. Arpin-Ricci is an advocate of justice and a missional pastor and community leader. Compelling story that makes a point without being too preachy.… (mehr)
