If this is book one, then I have high hopes for the rest of the series. The characters are amazing and complex, and the story itself draws you in quite quickly. Natassa definitely became one of my favorite characters fairly quickly - outwardly she tries to be the obedient daughter, doing what's expected of her, but inside she has a spark that could light a fire and change or end her life. She's definitely not as delicate as you might expect a princess to be. Velamir was great too, and I love how real he felt. The world-building Azizi has done is extensive, and you could swear you've actually stepped through the pages of the book into this unique world with the vivid descriptions. Highly recommend, and looking forward to reading more in the series!… (mehr)
