Somewhere between 2 and 3 stars to be honest. For most of the book I honestly didn't like a single character and they all annoyed me (with the exception of all the poor, small, side characters that had to deal with everyone else). I got so annoyed with the repetition of so many things - I get repeating a mantra but it may have been a bit excessive and the main character is an "adult", she couldn't call her therapist anything but "shrinky dink" for the entire book?! And listening to a bunch of catty Facebook conversations....maybe it would have read better instead of hearing it read in audiobook format. It got a little better in the end and there was some closure on things so that was good. Maybe I'm just not in the right headspace at this time to deal with matters like this....… (mehr)

Agatha Arch is supposed to be fun and quirky and dealing with "Big Stuff" but, in actuality, she is a judgmental, irrational and downright mean. Her over-the-top reaction to finding her husband cheating on her could be construed as humorous and even understandable considering the situation but it all goes downhill from there. She has little nicknames for everyone that are more demeaning than funny and the "fears" she needs to deal with are just an excuse for her to be illogical and aggressive to everyone. Even the ending where we're supposed to be charmed by her "healing" is just eye-rolling silliness. And I won't even get started on her harassment of an innocent homeless woman. Wow. I will keep track of this author so as to avoid all other books written by her in the future.… (mehr)

3.5 stars for me.

Thank you to the author and Bloom With Tall Poppy Writers FB group.

This was a fun read. However, it got a little redundant 1/2 way through with the same things going on with Agatha Arch, her FB moms group, her spying and stalking her ex and his girlfriend at her house, with a drone, and every other way she could. I loved her "shrinky dink," (which she called her psychiatrist) and her no nonsense way of talking to her. Then it changed and it got better. Wasn't so redundant anymore. Close to the end it got a little silly.

Bear Gryllis is a big part of her life and I think she loved him more than Dax, her husband. It was kind of cute her obsession with him and her bobblehead of him was always with her.

She's supposed to be writing her next book, but that is not happening!

Throw in some goats eating her lawn and yoga which she can't do for anything, and hilarity ensues.

A pretty predictable plot, but the writing is good and the story is pretty funny.
