The book is an informative picture book revolving around the life and anatomy of sharks and rays. I have always been fond of the book for its detailed pictures and the information given. You notice right away how the clear screen on the cover shows the different parts of a shark and just from that you can tell how detailed the book will be even before opening it. The cover is definitely a huge attention getter which is good for any book. Throughout the book, the pictures show different sharks and what bodily systems they have and how they work. This picture book is meant for older students for the information is very detailed and it uses a larger vocabulary. A good example for the kind of detail which can be found in the book is when they describe “how much water a basking shark filters”. This book is packed with information and would be a great tool when trying to teach students about the different sea creatures.… (mehr)
