This was not the easiest book to read. Most of it reads between the combination of a legal brief and a Master's dissertation (which I suspect it may well have been at one point). There is a lot of information regarding the manner in which Pagans are on the short end of the stick in a Christian-based society, and how the cards are stacked against most non-Christian adherents in regards to the laws and court systems. At many times, I felt like I was listening to someone playing the "victim" card over and over again. There are certainly a lot of court cases and situations that are held up as examples, some of which I actually have personal knowledge of. The material presented is factual and well organized, so little can be faulted there. The writing level is extremely on the academic side, so be prepared for some slow sledding...… (mehr)
