This is the first of Karen Bishop’s books I’ve been able to get hold of, and I found it rewarding.

The book is intended for lightworkers and the author, who is obviously an advanced being, talks at length about the ascension process. She states that she has already ascended, being one of the first to do so around 2005. But despite all her explanations I am still somewhat unclear about all this ascension business. (I don’t mean to be condescending.) It is clearly not a physical ascension she has experienced, since she is still in her body, or at least was when she wrote the book. But she does not discuss or mention the difference between physical and non-physical ascension. She writes as though all her readers also have ascended, although I definitely have not.

Karen Bishop describes ascension as “a purging and cleansing from within us of darker/denser energies”, a “rising of frequency … resulting in … a deeper connection to Source”, a “magnification of everything that is within us”, “a step-by-step loss of who we thought we were”, beginning stages of accessing other dimensions, a loss of all attachments, “an inability to ‘do’ anything as we are evolving into the way of ‘being’, being in the moment, various physical maladies and a great “growth, intensity and desire to expand”.

A large part of the book consists of blank pages, whereon we can write our answers to questions the author poses. These questions are designed to help us discover our soul purpose. However, because of my own particular background, set of parents and difficult upbringing, I had difficulty in answering many of these questions. For example, “What were your parents or primary caretakers about? … What did they speak about the most? … What was their primary message or theme?” I have difficulty in answering these questions since my parents didn’t really speak to me or tell me of their feelings, and I was mostly ignored. However, I am sure they will be helpful to most readers, who are perhaps more “normal” than me.

One of the important points made by Karen is that if we have a desire to serve through doing a particular thing, it is because we are supposed to be doing it. She asserts that when we have reached the stage where we are being and vibrating who we really are, everything we need will come to us effortlessly. (I feel that I fall into this category, but apparently not, since things do not often come to me effortlessly.) “All you need do is to ‘be’ about what it is you desire and you will naturally attract it to you.” I’m not sure that I understand this sentence. But Harrison Klein, whom I often listen to on the Net, states that we must ‘be’ what we want and declare: “I am health”, “I am wealth” etc etc.

Karen states that as the cleansing process involves “dying” while we are alive, we are now reincarnating as new and more evolved human beings on the new planet Earth.

We all have a special gift inside us like no-one else. We express this gift or talent naturally.

We can create and mould people to whom we believe they are, by seeing their highest form. What we focus on becomes real. Eventually our higher selves are all we will see in each other.

With regard to those inspiring people we admire, we do so because they reflect our own wonderful traits, and represent our highest potential.

The book concludes with instructions, by means of numerology, for finding our Destiny No., Expression No., Soul Urge No. and Life purpose No., and descriptions of the meaning of these various numbers are provided. This was the best part of the book for me. I finally felt myself seen! I saw that what I am doing is meaningful and useful for the planet. “You are here to serve your fellow man and all of humanity through your high vibration of love, caring and support.”

My Soul urge No. states correctly that I scatter my energies in many directions. I have come to create and express. (But I don’t have the gift of the gab – well, perhaps when I write.)

The statements pertaining to my Expression No. were spot on. I approach things methodically and systematically. I am conscientious and dependable, can work long and hard, am patient with details, responsible, systematic, orderly, helpful, patient, persevering, etc. Julius Caesar and Napoleon Bonaparte had the same Expression No. as me, ha, ha!

As regards Destiny No., I have the Master Number Eleven. Those with this number are spiritual light messengers and master teachers and have an awareness of the spiritual world. Our purpose in being here is to connect others to the higher realms. We are “the remembering and the doorway for others”. We support the planet in its evolution by just BEING HERE. This was good to hear.

All this was inspiring and comforting.

My only problem with this numerological method is that my grandchildren and others I know have names containing Danish letters and the numerical values of these letters are obviously not included in the book.

All in all, I felt that the content of the book absolutely rang true and will help you to find out who you are and what your soul purpose is.

I highly recommend that you read this book, even though I myself had a few problems with parts of it (the questions).
