Steve Blandford

Steve Blandford is Professor of Theatre, Film and Television at the Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries at the University of Glamorgan. He is the co-founder and director of the Centre for the Study of Media and Culture in Small Nations, and was a member of the Board of Trustees that mehr anzeigen set up the internationally-acclaimed National Theatre Wales. He has published widely on British theatre, film and television. His books include Film, Drama and the Break-Up of Britain (Intellect, 2007), a study of the relationship between television drama and national identity for the BBC Trust (with Stephen Lacey, Ruth McElroy and Rebecca Williams) and a recently-completed study of the television dramatist Jimmy McGovern for Manchester University Press.
