A weird book like a missing chapter of the samdman or the berserk manga. dark. odd.

I passed this over multiple times on the new graphic novel shelf at the library because I just knew from the cover that I wouldn't like it. But then I found myself with ten minutes to kill and, well, it was just sitting there.

Wish I'd left it there, because it pretty much lives up to its title. Margaret is a dull and lonely woman who catches eels in fish traps and sells them for a living. She also dabbles in witchcraft and casts a spell to bring her friendship and wealth. And we all know how wish stories turn out.

The art is just kind of gross and the colors are dark and murky.
