The fresh scent of grass, the pleasant sound of a stream, songs of birds, and the tickling breeze of the wind bring up treasured memories of family picnics to me. Most of all, I vividly recall the sweet smells of goodies and delicious food my mom made for me.

I recently found a perfect spot for a picnic and thought that it was about time for a family picnic. That night I wrote this story and read it to my son sharing my reminiscences of picnics of my childhood. .
