Diane Burton

Take a female investigator trying her darndest to be successful in running the detective agency she bought from her dad and his partner. Add in the return of the hot son of her dad's partner who she's crushed on for fifteen years. Add in nasty winter weather, a runaway teen who's quick on his feet, several investigations that might be connected, a new receptionist who seems too good to be true, loyal friends, nasty bad guys and stir well. This sums up the second book in this series very nicely.

I bought all three in this series, having read all of Diane's other books. Like everything else I've read by this author, I was delighted. It's a very fun read that blends intrigue, family dynamics and rekindled romance in a satisfying story.

Another winner from a very talented author. Quick reading romance with a neat twist at the end. Nice cast of likable characters. Diane has never let me down when I've bought one of her books.

I have now read all of Diane's outer rim and switched books. Like the rest, this is a fun and very satisfying tale with likable characters, nasty villains and just the right amount of steam. I hope she revisits the outer rim in future books.
