Ugh - the writing was terrible, the story was terrible, why did i even bother finishing this?

I’m not sure what I think. I would recommend you Read-In-Order as I dropped into book 2 not understanding what happened in book 1.

The flow of the story is well-paced, the mystery is weak – the author hugs the clues to his/her vest and only lets you in after the fact. Did I like the characters - I’m not sure? And, once again, the FBI rides into town in its arrogance mobile.

This book was truly hard to put down even for a few minutes, it is packed with suspense and new developments with almost every page turn. From a suicide investigation to a sex trafficking ring, this book has a lot of different elements to it, and each one contributed to an amazing story. When Jennifer disappears, her husband and sister find the news hard to believe and seek answers to their questions. While trying to find the truth, they uncover a dark underworld that involves many others like Jennifer.

This was a tragic story of a woman who had no choice in her life other than to do what others dictated for her. Even if that lifestyle was a high priced prostitute and you went to the highest bidder or winner of high stakes poker.

This is an edge of your seat thrill ride. I really enjoyed it.
