Fiona, Thia, Alecia, and Ivy are members of an elite book club -- their own...They regularly meet to discuss books over wine and food. But mostly wine. Their book discussions are lively and animated until one evening, Fiona shares some startling news about her daughter, Chloe. News that will shake each of the women down to their core. Later, as the women start to re-assess the situation, another shocking discovery unnerves the group.

The first half of this book is just okay, the writing is decent and some statements and observations are made that I personally really related to. However it was rather slow and nothing overly gripping. Half way in it starts to pick up and turns in to a really decent story, moving at just the right pace and tackling a subject that is hard to approach with grace and handled it very well.

I did almost quit a few times during that first half but to anyone wanting to read this, please do! the last half makes up for the slow beginning and you'll be glad you stuck it out. You may even find yourself relating to the characters or situations which is a breath of fresh air given the subjects discussed

I was provided with a digital copy via booksirens and publishers so I could leave my honest, unfiltered review. I owe them a big thank you.
