The temperature is heating up so Jenny starts making alcohol flavored popsicles. These soon become a huge hit. A visiting group from a nearby town asks Jenny to cater an anniversary celebration for one of the couples . One of the guests is found murdered. When one of Jenny's popsicles is found laced with poison near the body, she decides that she and the Magnolias need to find why and how the woman was killed.
As with most of these books, there is also another storyline which includes the town. This time the town has been visited with unwelcome visitors.
Jason is in France helping a friend with a legal matter. I still feel let down that his daughter is no longer even mentioned in the series.… (mehr)

The Magnolia group is on a cruise to help celebrate Betty Sue's 86th birthday; however, Betty Sue is confined to her cabin because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Betty Sue joined a poker game on the first night out. One of the players collapses and dies. It has been determined that the man had been poisoned. Jenny feels obligated to find out who poisoned the man so Betty Sue can enjoy this cruise.
And to make this trip even more interesting for the group, Jenny's ex-husband just happens to be onboard, also.
