Tickling Tigers von Anna Currey
I had mixed feelings about this book when I read it. The illustrations in this book contained water colored images of the tigers and mice that were very appealing to people of all ages. However, the books plot seemed to be lacking. The mouse was being chased by the tigers giving the reader a suspense. Meanwhile, when the mouse had gotten away from the tigers it decided to keep boasting as it had in the past. The big message of the story was to not boast to others however in the end of the story the mouse decided to continue boasting, contradicting the message of the story.… (mehr)
I mildly liked this book. I liked the watercolor painted illustrations. They were colorful and whimsical. The language was simple and the story was predictable. Nothing stood out to me. The main idea of this story is a moral. Sometimes you get what you ask for but many not have intended.
