In this book the author writes in first person from the perspective of the cat. The cat and a fish are best friends and the cat takes care of the fish until it out grows its bowl. The cat then moves the fish to the ocean and waits by the shore for it to return. The fish finally returns and takes the cat to an island where they play all day forever. I like this book because it shows the power friendship has. The cat and the fish are natural enemies but in this book they are best friends and the help each other throughout it. This is a good example of fantasy because it holds together, is believable, and asks questions about life.
