Arrogance and little else
A continuous storm of bad attitude, bad manners, and bad writing. Hyperbolic descriptions of everything and everyone. Kitchen-sink lit. Magic and guns and violence. That’s it. No real plot. Fight after fight after fight.

I truly enjoyed this take on a well-worn premise.
Sometimes it's not about coming up with an original idea, but about how you execute the story. They say there are no new ideas under the sun, and perhaps that's true... but when you really enjoy an urban fantasy premise (the world knows about supernatural creatures, and now they have to fight for their rights), it doesn't really matter how many times you see it, so long as it's executed well. This book was executed well. The main character was very relatable, the story was dramatic, and the execution satisfying. Definitely worth adding to the library!… (mehr)
