Shastra Deo

Shastra Deo was born in Fiji and raised in Melbourne. Currently she is based in Brisbane, Australia. She is a graduate of the University of Queensland and holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Writng and English Literature, First Class Honours and a University Medal in Creative Writing, and a Master mehr anzeigen of Arts in Writing and Publishing. She is currently completing her PhD in Creative Writing at The University of Queensland. Her debut poetry collection is entitled The Agonist (2017). With this first book, she won the 2016 Arts Queensland Thomas Shapcott Poetry Prize and the 2018 Australian Literature Society (ALS) Gold Medal. (Bowker Author Biography) weniger anzeigen
