Even though this was written for children, I thought it was a good overview of his life, but also gave historical background of the area and cites documents and archaeological finds, which I found intriguing. It has a diagram of the Temple that Herod had rebuilt, as well as where to find different things Jesus spoke about in the Bible. All in all, a nice resource for children.

Great resource for kids (and adults too) showing how the Bible came to be as we know it now. Touches on the writers, Biblical timelines, scribes and translators, as well as missionaries.. Also goes into how publishing has changed over the centuries (papyrus to parchment to codex). Lots of illustrations, color and graphics. Index, scriptural references.

A little too preachy for my taste, but the illustrations are nice.
