- Lois was born in Montreal but grew up primarily in Riverview, New Brunswick where she was an avid reader and journal writer. She received an Arts degree in English from Acadia University and an Education degree from Universtiy of Alberta. After three years of teaching in Edmonton, Lois moved to Calgary where she received a Fine Arts dipoma. Lois currently teaches and writes in Calgary.
