This book is what is says it is: a good, solid collection of low-carb meat recipes. You won't find many fancy dishes to impress your dinner guests with, but if you're looking for basic instructions on different ways to cook meat without adding a lot of carbs, this is definitely the book for you. If you're already really competent at cooking lots of different types of meats, you may find this overly simplistic. Most ingredients used are fairly basic, though the author does seem to have a fondness for a hard-to-find (in my small town) brand of unsweetened ketchup. I've also had luck making some simple substitutions for ingredients that I didn't care for, or didn't have on hand at the moment. I originally got this cookbook from the library, and liked it enough to track down a copy of my own.… (mehr)

This is going to be a very useful guide to growing vegetables and dealing with them afterwards. I suppose the title should have warned me, but the author is a bit too keen on exclamation marks for my taste.
