2058 A. Lincoln: Prairie Lawyer, by John J. Duff (read 1 Mar 1987) This book was published in 1960. I enjoyed the book. I think the author must be a lawyer, which helps. Lincoln was a good lawyer, even though his office apparently was always a mess. The author did a lot of research and I found it all interesting. One should spend time in the area of Illinois where Lincoln practiced, and visit those scenes, even though they are awfully changed from the years 1837 to 1860, when Lincoln practiced law.… (mehr)
