Sven Dupré

Sven Dupré is a postdoctoral fellow of the Flemish Research Foundation in Belgium and a member of the Centre for History of Science at Ghent University. He held visiting fellowships at the Max Planck Institute for History of Science in Berlin, the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, and the University of Cambridge. His research interests include the history of optics; instruments, collections and the material culture of science; and issues of visualization including interactions between art and science. He published several articles on these topics, and recently, he also edited a volume on Optics, Instruments and Painting (Brill, 2005).
