Janie meets a mysterious stranger and spends a great deal of money to purchase a package from him.
Janie, a human resources executive has a crush on Conner who pumps gas. Then it's the usual girl meets boy, girl tries to change boy and heartbreak ensues. It's premise seems to be cliche. Right up until it ends abruptly. Maybe it's because I'm not a romantic at heart but I found it to be quite boring. Resorting to trickery to what you want is never okay in my opinion and I found the book to be demeaning to both men and women. I would not let my child read this book nor would I recommend it to my friends. My rating is based on the authors creativity.
