This is a variation on the traditonal rhym about the yellow basket. The setting is some city and it is unclear how it would work. It left me wondering about the original. The original has been passed on for a generations and seems unclear

love the illustrations.. the words are different than the words I remember learning as a child. I did this book for storytime with a class of 4 year olds and they seemed to like it. We read the book, then played a CD of Ella Fitzgerald singing the song.
