This is J. Gwenogvryn Evans's expansion of his interpretation of the historical and geographical evidence that 'Cat traeth' (Beach Battle) was fought on the Mor-drei (Great Ebb) foreshore between Castell Aberlleiniog in Penmon, Anglesey and the eastern end of Afon Menai, fought in 1098 between the ri-allu / Llychlyn lu (King's force / Norse force) of Magnus Bareleg and the Franks of Hugh, earl of Shrewsbury.

J. Gwenogvryn Evans's transcript is still worthwhile, but this interpretation was thoroughly exploded, damaging Evans's academic reputation in the process. This work only really has a bit of an antiquarian curiosity value.
