Definitely a good read heavily influenced by Onley James. This author is riding that fine line between plagiarizing an idea and being inspired by an idea. Only time will tell which it is.
Well developed world with a variety of interesting characters. MCs are well-developed, but not totally consistent within themselves. The length is fine, thou there are slow spots.
The writing style is fluid and the editing, while not perfect is good. The biggest challenge is that it feels like the research is lacking. The author has taken on a challenging set of characters with complex disorders that will be difficult to portray in a convincing manner. Yet these characters were raised by four people who are? the Russian mob; an undertaker; a serial killer and? It becomes a bit easier to believe since all of the disorders are on a spectrum - but the motivation of the four and a better background would help. With Onley James' Necessary Evils, we are given the front motivation for raising children with Antisocial personality disorder right away - to raise them to fight evil. The entire back story is supplied as the series goes.
Here? Nothing.
Also, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a developmental condition - not a personality disorder.… (mehr)
