I grew up close to the Monte Vista area and attended school in the area so these homes were always a fascination to me. It was a lovely trip down memory lane as I remember many of these grand old homes. This is a wonderful addition to anyone's library who is interested in architecture or San Antonio. There is a great deal of text describing the homes and the prominent families of San Antonio. Many fantastic old photos both of buildings and people.
