I am warring with myself to give this 1 star because I hated it (by 77%) or 2 stars because it wasn't poorly written. I'll leave it at 2. But...

I didn't like anything about this book really. I never really grew to like the characters, in fact the BFFs I didn't like at all for some reason.

The whole book both content and concept was all TOO YA for me. It read like a 19 year old wrote it, the characters ACTED like they were 19, just everything about it screamed immature and boring!

This book was exceptionally boring, the author filled it with mundane details, like going through the draws for something to wear. Those details are good for a book, it's just unnecessary filler and boring as hell. We were almost subjected to real-time play by plays of her day at work as a sales clerk at a university book store. WHY? It had absolutely no baring on the storing other than as filler.

I got 40% in and wanted to quit. I realized I didn't care about anyone or anything about the story. But I found I was still curious as to how it ended. BIG mistake!!!!!!!!!!!! at 77% I was so pissed off with the book/author that I had to put the book down before I did harm to my precious kindle. I am NOT impressed with where she went with this story AT ALL. I'm unimpressed with everything. I'm completely disinclined to read anything else this author has written.

I will say I didn't notice any glaring spelling or grammatical errors, that's rare! And the book flowed well. So, technical skills are there. But content wise, not so much, not for me.

Ok, the story wasn't BAD, but it's so obvious where the origins of this story lie, that even if I didn't know it started as Twi-fic, it was glaringly obvious.

The heroine is clumsy, she doesn't feel as pretty as her friends. She and the guy met in Biology class, where they got closer and formed a relationship. He broke up with her for her own good, and she slides into a deep depression, just going through the motions of life until her friend, Jason Bratt, manages to pull her out of her grief. The hero is good, protective, beautiful, strong, and drives like a maniac.

As fanfic, this story is decent, but I feel it is REALLY wrong for someone to make money on something so OBVIOUSLY cribbed off of someone else's work.

At least with Fifty Shades, the similarities to it's origins were fainter, and if you weren't looking for it, you'd probably not even figure out it started out as Twi-Fic.
