Jimmy Fallon is an actor, comedian, author and television host. Fallon got his start in stand-up in Poughkeepsie, NY. After college he took improv classes with The Groundlings. He has appeared in movies and on television, most notably as a cast member on Saturday Night Live and as the host of Late mehr anzeigen Night with Jimmy Fallon. Fallon is the author of Thank You Notes (May 2011) and Thank You Notes 2 (May 2012) both from Grand Central Publishing. Meet Pollo, a friendly little chicken who just wants to play all day. Pollo makes many activities fun while at the same time introducing young readers to some basic Spanish vocabulary. Translations and a pronunciation guide are included.
Was the hope that due to Jimmy Fallon's humor and Jennifer Lopez's heritage a dynamic book would be written??
Because I am unsure.....
I think I am comparing it to Angela Dominguez's books. Ones with a better balance between English and Spanish. Maybe it's because I like the illustrations better in other books. Maybe I went in hating it because it is a celebrity written text.....something just didn't work.

I was willing to give it a chance....even though it was a celebrity written picture book. And its a fun counting tale.
But honestly the book focuses on the superficial elements of Christmas and even then, the little boy isn't satisfied; he is already thinking about next year. Not exactly the message I want to send
