Weston W. Fields has been Executive Director of the Dead Sea Scrolls Foundation in Jerusalem since 1991. He taught at Grace College and Theological Seminary for ten years and at the Institute of Holy Land Studies (now Jerusalem University College) for seven years.

This was a pretty good debut. The characters were relatable, the plot was fast-moving and high-stakes, and the setting was believable enough. The pacing was a bit off in places, but again, since this is the author's first published novel, that is understandable and did not detract from my enjoyment. There are also some heavy-hitting revelations towards the end of the book, which will likely play a huge role in the next book.

I would recommend for young to middle teens or anyone looking for a clean dystopian read.… (mehr)
