The title refers to the the author's contention that he had been saved from a certain death numerous times but for angel's wings protecting him. This is an excellent book summarizing the highlights and disappointments of living in a war zone for a year as a combat aviator. This book is a gentle introduction to the stresses of working in life and death situations and the remorse that comes with being in situations beyond your personal control. Excellent.
