Substance: Elf Eubie is too happy for Santa's workshop, but manages to change Bluesville kids from naughty to nice by caring about them.
I dislike attempts to push a good message with a bad medium; there is no good reason to have Santa and his crew be grumpy and not very nice.
However, this will probably appeal to middle-schoolers. The music is fair.
NOTE: Demonstrates that Santa-worship is grounded in a Socialist and Statist world-view; that is, all good things are provided by the benevolent Master, IF you are good by his definition. This is a twisted analog of Christianity, which offers personal salvation by the Grace of God to the righteous and obedient. However, Christ and his angels do not operate in the manner of Santa and his elves, in this and most other movies.
