Starts with the history of the geology of continents, and moves on to the history of the people of the Cape, and then onto the various drives and montain passes. Very thorough coverage with some very interesting historical observations. Some excellent coverage also of Cape Town and the Peninsula, so the book does not just cover rural mountain passes.
