Stanisława Fleszarowa-Muskat (1919–1989)

Stanisława Fleszarowa-Muskat was born in Siennów, Poland, to a family of teachers. She grew up and received her early education in Ormianki. She began publishing poems as a teenager. In 1936, she began studies at the Faculty of Law and Economics at the University of Poznan, which were interrupted by World War II. During the war, she was deported to forced labor in Germany. During a period in Lwów, she married Jerzego Fleszara, a lawyer. In 1952, she and Fleszara divorced and she remarried in 1957 to Tadeusz Muskat. She began writing a newspaper column, as well as novels and plays. Although her creative output was small, it is considered rich and diverse.
