Donald LeRoy Foster

Donald L. Foster is Catalog Librarian at the University of New Mexico's Zimmerman Library in Albuquerque. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music from DePaul University and in 1961 received his master's degree in Library Science from the University of Illinois.

Mr. Foster was music therapist at Beatty Memorial Hospital, Westville, Indiana, in 1953-54, and taught music at New Mexico State University in 1958-59. He has also served as a cataloger at the University of Illinois Library (1961-64). He became head of the cataloging department at the University of New Mexico in 1964.

He is a member of ALA and New Mexico Library Association and is the author of "Notes Used on Music and Phonorecord Catalog Cards" and "Checklist of U.S. Government Publications in the Arts," which are numbers 66 and 96 in this Occasional Papers series.
