This story attempts to explore a mysterious murder and how to develop and grow as a human adult. While it was a very quick read, this novel is too superficial to be enjoyable. Readers will notice an attempt at depth as the author explores Daniel's love baggage. The real mystery! How will Daniel ever love again? With flat narratives and poorly designed character arcs, I would recommend this novel only to younger adult audiences. It has themes of sex and BDSM. While I don't find it graphic, I know plenty will. I found those sections to feel cringey and lacking any nuance or true understanding.… (mehr)

I personally found no connection whatsoever, and could not get myself into this book. It was fast paced however not worth the read in my opinion. I was very disappointed. I think with some more effort this would have been better.
