Very disappointing - for someone who is supposed to be one of Australia's leading obesity researchers, he provides very little scientific evidence—just tells us he has helped 100s of his patients. Sound familiar? Sound like zillions of other 'diet' books?

I want to see the facts and figures—the actual evidence. I want to know how many people succeeded in 'tricking' their bodies into accepting a lower set point, and for how long. I want to know how many 'failed', which is by far the most common experience according to research. I want to know how to lose 2 kg in a month then stay at that weight for the next month. I'd love to know how to have that much control over my weight! Pretty simple premise - lose 1-2kg every second month and then maintain your weight the other months to "trick" your body into accepting that the new weight is your normal weight.
The first half of the book covers the background and approach to this. The second half of the book contains meal plans and recipes.

Knowledgeable history of Ipswich Town Football Club under the management of Bobby Robson between 1969 and 1982 with a brief summary of the next 27 years. The account is diminished by the many personal reminisences of the author's childhood support of the club, which would have been better confined to a Forward. There is nothing here that is new but it is a coherent and engaging record of the high point of the club's history.
