Giovanni Gelati

So, I just reviewed Fangs, Inc., an installment in the fantabulous collection of Author's Lab Collaborations. It was good. In fact, they ALL were really great. But, this one....well this one was PHENOMENAL. Why did I like this one the best? Well, simply put: family. It is clean cut, and absolutely HILARIOUS! Oh yes. Definitely laugh out loud, double over til people think your crazy hilarious. The perfect combination of Mark Miller's fantasy style writing and G-Man's humor and antics create this fantastic next installment.

Okay, let's back up a minute. Before I rant and rave about how awesome this short was (I sort of already did that though, didn't I?), I gotta say. NO man in their RIGHT mind would EVER buy their wife TOILET PAPER, PAPER TOWELS or TOOTH PASTE for a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion gift, would they? I mean, I was married for all of 3.5 years, and he never got me anything like that. Hmmm...well, I guess getting something like that would be better than getting NOTHING at all, right? Kudos,Mr. Gelati for at least getting sweet Mrs. Gelati SOMETHING!

Okay, back to my thoughts on this. Loved it. Loved every bit of it. Mark's character Karl really added to the G-Man's personality, when he dubbed Prince of Trenton! I had to totally laugh out loud when the "Prince" let loose with some "air bisquits" as a TROLL squeezed the "stress" out of him.....I literally rolled on the floor with that one!

I highly suggest you drop what you are doing and go to Amazon (or Barnes and Noble or Smashwords) and for a simple .99 cents, get a copy. You'll find this 5 star short to be one of the funniest ones to date, along with the famous Kindle( from what I hear, a Kindle makes a GREAT flashlight!).… (mehr)

So, we have these wonderful things called the Author's Lab Collaborations. These really short digital short stories that will have you laughing til you cry....or drop your Kindle (or in my lonely case, a Nook). Those are the perfect things to have on your Kindle (or Nook!) for the "in between" reads. But, what about in between the in betweens? What do us read-a-holics read when waiting on another collaborations release? We get to have An "In Between" The Collaborations short story from none other than the awesome "G-Man"!

This first in between the in between stories was HILARIOUS! It's 5 pages are filled with wit and humor and laugh out loud words. We get a glimpse into the Beach Bocce Ball played with chrome balls. And I'm soooooooo excited! Giovanni brought the POD back! (For those who haven't read the Author's Labs yet, please read The Jersey Shore Has Eyes for the significance of the POD!) Plus, Harry Balls is here to help out the G-Man! His appearance is light and at the end, but it's still HARRY BALLS!!! If you don't know who Harry Balls is, please refer to Down Low-Dead to get acquainted with him.

This is a MUST read! Not only because it's good and funny, and well written, but because it's about Bocce ball. I think Bocce ball is awesome (though I've never played it personally). I can't wait for another 5 star in between story! G-Man has got some MAD authoring skills and I hope to see LOTS (lots and lots and lots and lots) more of these from him! Great job!… (mehr)
