I bought this book for my boyfriend thinking it would inspire him to groom or at least bathe every day or something. I like the book. It has wonderful tips on grooming and knowing the proper thing to wear on any given occassion. The book even goes so far as to tell you what color wallet you need to carry on informal occassions (brown). I had no idea that men had rules such as this. Is it like when a woman wears black shoes and carries a brown purse? What happens when two guys go on vacation together in the country, and one night on a beer run one guy pulls out his black wallet? Does the other guy go, "Oh, my god, Steve! You're carrying a black wallet! On vacation!" And the other guy is mortified and makes his friend pinky swear not to tell his other friends his fashion faux pas. Only the friend tells, and everyone cracks wise every time the black wallet makes an appearance, and Mr. Black Wallet never lives it down.

It gets three stars because it's very nice to think of having a well-groomed, dandified boyfriend, but I would be afraid to be with anyone who coordinated his leather wallet by color according to the occassion. He'd probably criticize me a lot because sometimes I forget to brush my hair.

I'll take my smelly boyfriend over a foppish dandy any day!
