Eric Glick

This book starts out at a slow crawl. We get to know the main character, Joe Berzinski, as he moves through a life he seems to be stuck in but not enjoying. While nothing much was happening, something about the writing and the characters compelled me to keep turning pages.

The story picked up speed, adding intrigue and a sprinkle of suspense. Parts are humorous, while other parts made me stop and think about how easily we can make a mess of our lives.

Eric Glick does a great job of getting into his characters, showing us all their flaws as well as their strengths. Each is unique and vivid. For me, this story was about human interaction and how any act, on any given day, can change the course of your future.

** A word of caution. I read the e-book version of this book. Glick does not use quotation marks for conversation and rarely uses the "said" tag. The formatting ran together, so often a paragraph was a conversation between two people. At times, it was difficult to determine who, if anyone, was speaking. **… (mehr)
